Dingle Grianstad an tSamhraidh is a limited release pays homage to the summer solstice and longest day of the year. In Celtic tradition this is considered the peak of summer, and is revered for its plentiful hours of life-giving sunlight.

Grianstad an tSamhraidh is the last great festival before daylight begins to dwindle, so we celebrate it enthusiastically as the crops begin to ripen and bear fruit. To see the sun set from Dingle on Ireland’s west coast is an incredible experience, and always worth the wait.

Usually falling around June 21st, Grianstad an tSamhraidh is the brighter of the two solstices, and a favourite among farmers for the seemingly endless hours of sunlight. At Dingle Distillery there’s nothing we enjoy more than a long summer evening spent with friends and family, and a drop of our favourite Dingle Whiskey.

Seventh in the new series of limited-edition whiskeys distilled, matured, and bottled at Dingle Distillery, this Single Pot Still release has been matured in first filled bourbon casks before a long finish in American Rye casks. This is a highly limited release, at only 9,000 bottles available worldwide.
