The story of Dockyard Vodka begins with the vision of the Russell family, who wanted to create a distillery that celebrated the rich history of the area while producing high-quality spirits. They brought on board Abhishek “Abhi” Banik, a master distiller with a background in building distilleries and teaching at Heriot-Watt University. Abhi designed the distillery and implemented a unique process that focuses on low temperature and slow fermentation to create a distinct flavor profile.
Dockyard Vodka is crafted using locally sourced grain, grown within 20 miles of the distillery. The result is a smooth and versatile vodka that has gained a loyal following. The distillery also offers tours, tastings, and even a cocktail masterclass, allowing visitors to experience the magic of Dockyard Vodka firsthand.
