- Nose: This unaged distillate begins at the heart of Hesbaye’s barley. The malted barley aroma is joined by freshly baked bread and shortbread scents. Fruity, fresh hints of ripe pears, greengages, and cider then melt into newly mown grass.
- Mouth: The first mouth sensation is sweet, marked by the distillate’s beautiful oily nature. Fruity orchard notes slowly emerge.

On November 29, 2004, the Owl filled its first barrel, marking the beginning of an ambitious journey to create a whisky deeply rooted in the Haspengouw region. Over the past 20 years, this dedication has earned Belgian Owl numerous awards and recognitions, including the title of Best European Single Cask in 2011, with a score of 95% in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible.Distillation

Belgian Owl's Single Malt production is entirely artisanal, with barley grown with great care.
