Firkin Rare Teaninich 2009 SC48 Custom Cask Tawny Port

Firkin Rare Teaninich 2009 is a single malt Scotch whisky crafted by The Firkin Whisky Co. This unique expression is distilled at the Teaninich Distillery in the Highlands of Scotland. It is aged in a custom double oak cask, which combines ex-bourbon staves with virgin French oak, and is then soaked with Tawny Port to impart rich fruity flavors.

To create this rare expression, a single ex-bourbon cask of Teaninich, distilled in 2009, is given a second maturation in a custom double-oak cask. The cask is hand-made by a skilled cooper and soaked with Tawny Port, allowing the wood to absorb the port’s rich fruity flavors. The Teaninich whisky is then added and left to mature until it reaches perfection.
