Immerse yourself in this authentic experience, crafted by two experts at the pinnacle of their art: whisky and coffee. The desire to innovate has always been part of Belgian Owl’s DNA. That’s why our collaborations are rare but disruptive! It is this same drive for inventiveness that brought together the two Liège-based brands, Belgian Owl and Cafés Charles Liégeois, to create the delicate new nectar that is this Coffee-Finished Whisky.
This 5-year-old Single Malt Whisky is finished in barrels that previously held a coffee eau-de-vie. It is made with over 100 kg of coffee beans from the Republic of Congo, on the shores of Lake Kivu. The beans used are organic and Fairtrade ‘Arabica Blue Mountain’, carefully selected by the local brand CHARLES LIEGEOIS.

- Nose: You’ll find notes of green grass with hints of lavender flowers, along with subtle fruit sweetness, dark chocolate, apples, and grapes. There’s also a touch of cinnamon, oak, and vanilla.
- Palate: The whisky features a fruity sweetness with summer spice, brown sugar, and a hint of Dutch breakfast cake (Ontbijtkoek). You’ll also taste wood, pepper, and a touch of floral barley.
- Finish: The finish is medium-length, ending with sweet fruit notes paired with brown sugar and Alpine herbs.

On November 29, 2004, the Owl filled its first barrel, marking the beginning of an ambitious journey to create a whisky deeply rooted in the Haspengouw region. To honor traditional methods, The Owl uses two authentic Scottish stills from the former Caperdonich distillery in Speyside, Scotland. This process results in a unique, pure, smooth, and balanced whisky of the highest quality, crafted in the beautiful Hesbaye region.Artisanal Single Malt
Belgian Owl's Single Malt production is entirely artisanal, with barley grown with great care. The fields are surrounded by nature, respecting the ecosystem with the help of various plants and insects. The groundwater, drawn from a 38-meter-deep well, is of exceptional quality and protected by the Walloon government and the European Union. The quality of the barley, water, distillate, and wood all contribute to Belgian Owl’s signature whisky, showcasing the Haspengouw region beautifully.
