Clonakilty Minke Gin is inspired by the Minke Whale, the majestic creatures that roam freely in the wild waters of our Atlantic Ocean coastline. This very coastline is also where we find the unique botanical that bestows Minke Gin with its distinctive flavor profile.
With Minke Gin, we embrace a complete cycle, from grass to glass, capturing the essence of nature at its finest.
Hints of soft spices, vanilla, freshly mown grass, a touch of perfume, and mature apple/pear nuances. Notes of new leather add to the experience.

Clonakilty Minke Gin, Tasting Notes from Whiskey Center
- Nose: Lavender, lemon, lime, sea salt, and aniseed.
- Palate: Juniper, floral lavender, cardamom, orange, and grapefruit.
- Finish: Juniper, sea salt, and citrus with a hint of fennel.
FORAGED BY HAND
We scale the cliffs along our coast to sustainably gather the native Rock Samphire, exclusively by hand and only when in season. The effort is truly rewarding!
MINKE SPIRIT
The foundational spirit for Clonakilty Minke Gin comes from whey, sourced from our family’s 9th generation farm by the Galley Head Lighthouse. This lends a uniquely smooth texture and mouthfeel to every delightful sip.

This gin is perfect, if you drink it pure you taste every time the small tastes like vanilla, and tones off apple/pear and it is subtile enough for almost every mix,

Not a gin drinker but I actually like this. Good flavour and it mixes perfectly with tonic. Next time I’ll try to add more fruit to see how that plays out.
