Wolfburn Poppy Scotland Limited Release

Wolfburn is proud in the extreme to support the phenomenal work of Poppyscotland with a limited-release bottle, commemorating 100 years since the first ever Poppy Appeal.

This unique whisky has been matured in a combination of second-fill ex-Islay quarter casks and first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads. Created in support of the 1921 Poppy Pledge, a total of 1921 bottles have been produced. £5 from every bottle will be donated to Poppyscotland which will raise a total of £9,605.

Our aim is that this classic single malt is enjoyed by everyone who tries it and at the same time pays fitting tribute to Scotland’s veterans. “For our tomorrow, they gave their today.”

• ON THE NOSE – Bourbon sweetness mixes with soft oaky tones, followed by aromas of heather blossom and autumn fruits. There’s a subtle hint of cacao and brown sugar too.
• ON THE PALATE – Floral tones lead the way, with overtones of warm vanilla and light spices. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with overtones of fruits and nuts. Sumptuous and decadent, like a mouthful of Christmas cake.
• THE FINISH – Hints of heather honey and butterscotch melt gently away. Sweet and smooth to the very end.
