September 2022 the Bruges Whisky Company will present its Inaugural Release at several events throughout the Benelux. This Ïnaugural” is matured in Maple Syrup, Red Wine and Moscatel Casks at 61,7 %. First tasting notes are:

The Distillery

Bruges Whisky Company (BWC) is situated in West-Flanders. BWC’s crew don’t rush production as this is the key for a high-end product. The Bruges Whisky Company (BWC) distills Single Malt, matured in small to medium first fill Bourbon barrels and then finished in first fill small barrels for the most optimal taste. Next to the Cask Strength Rogia BWC has the Ryggia range, also available in CS. And end of 2021 BWC also started with fine Beers.

Ryggia

Ryggia is old Norse for wild untamed beast and is one of the names that led to the name Bruges. Matured in carefully selected first-fill barrels, never diluted, to create an exceptional distinctive dram, with its rich characterful soul that is typical of Ryggia.

Before

Thibaut, Peter and their growing team have pre-relased several earlier batches of new make, for example under the name ‘Experiment’ (A – D) of this Ryggia. Apart from that they released several Rogia batches.
