Firkin 49: Dailuaine 2012 is an exclusive single cask single malt Scotch whisky selected by The Firkin Whisky Co. Distilled at Dailuaine in Speyside, this remarkable vintage begins life in an ex-bourbon barrel before being transferred to a custom double-oak cask. That cooper-crafted cask unites ex-bourbon staves and virgin French oak, each soaked in Oloroso and Amontillado sherry. The result is an exceptionally complex spirit that melds bright herbal top notes with ripe fruit, gentle spice and a surprising peanut-butter edge.
