J.J. Corry´s The Pig’s Elbow Irish Style Dry Gin, a classic juniper-forward gin, derives its name from an intriguing historical tale. In the 1800s, renowned cartographer Eugene Curry traveled across Ireland’s western regions, mapping the country’s rural towns for the first time. When he came across a peculiarly shaped bend in the road near a bridge in Cooraclare, he compared the village street’s shape to that of a pig’s elbow, a name that has affectionately lasted for 180 years. Distilled at 40% in Cooraclare, County Clare, The Pig’s Elbow Gin is noted for its traditional juniper flavor with refreshing undertones of citrus, pear, cucumber, and a hint of black tea. Moreover, a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold goes towards supporting local community initiatives in the Cooraclare parish.
