Here are the tasting notes for each of the whiskeys in The Triumvirate from Kinsale Spirit:
Red Earl:
- Nose: Subtle hints of cherry, strawberry, rose petal, and citrus, layered on top of marzipan, almond, and oak notes. Vibrant fruity notes on both the nose and palate.
- Palate: Satisfying blends of toffee, vanilla, and toasted almonds, complemented by delightful notes of cinnamon and clove, typical of spicy Riojas.
- Finish: Medium-bodied mouthfeel that ends in a long, warm, and moreish finish.
Great Earl:
- Nose: Sweet, candy-like vanilla and cask influence, with woody and buttery/marzipan notes.
- Palate: Sweet, ripe blackberry and honey, with a hint of tartness/sharpness, a little elderberry, and a touch of white pepper spice.
- Finish: Creamy mouthfeel that coats the mouth nicely, mid-bodied with decent length and strength.
Spanish Earl:
- Nose: Dark chocolate, indulgent coffee & cream reminiscent of Irish Cream Liqueur, with dried fruit/”rummy” notes.
- Palate: Coffee and dark chocolate, tiramisu, Irish stout creaminess, dried fruit like fig, raisin, and a little ripe banana and tropical fruit.
- Finish: Nice length with a bit of raisin and a slight kick of spice on the back-end.
Enjoy exploring the unique flavors of each whiskey in this exceptional trio!
