‘The Brexiteer’ 28 YO Teaspooned Burnside

As the UK departs from the EU, Whisky Center has released The Brexiteer a 1991 Burnside Barrel and its 182.3 bottles from Scotland, where it was aged for 28 years.
This ‘Brexiteer’ is a ‘Teaspooned’ whisky, meaning it is a minutely ‘blended’ Scotch. This bottling marks our inaugural “Whisky Center” release and commemorates the tumultuous Brexit events of 2019, which will ultimately detach the UK from its previous EU member states.
Burnside, one of Scotland’s ‘lost distilleries,’ was located just a short drive from Dufftown.
The journey of The Brexiteer is uncertain. What is certain is the Scottish pride in their exceptional spirit, which they have parted with reluctantly. The most challenging feat was transporting the empty barrel to ‘the mainland.’ Ultimately, with assistance from ‘our man in London,’ we secured the barrel. In the spirit of ‘recycling,’ cask #7389 has been refilled with continental spirit and is now resting in a cave in southern Germany, ensuring that this narrative will continue with Continental Whisky.
