History and Heritage

• The distillery is housed in Pumphouse No. 5, a historic building completed in 1873, originally used for draining four dry docks.
• The distillery’s location in Chatham Dockyard has a rich naval history, with connections to significant events such as the launch of HMS Victory in 1765 and the Dutch raid on the Medway in 1667.

• Dockyard Gin is a contemporary take on traditional naval gins, celebrating the distillery’s home in Chatham Dockyard.
• The gin is crafted using a unique hand-made copper still named Janet, and infused with the finest botanicals sourced from across the globe.
