Whiskey Sour

 

Ingredients

  • 6 cl J.J. Corry Hanson Irish Whiskey
  • 3 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cl simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)
  • Optional: 1 egg white for a silky foam
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish: cocktail cherry and a thin lemon twist

Method

  1. Add all ingredients (including egg white if using) to a shaker without ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds (dry shake).
  2. Add ice and shake again for 10–15 seconds until the shaker feels cold.
  3. Strain into a chilled old fashioned glass filled with ice cubes.
  4. Garnish with a cocktail cherry and a lemon twist.
