In 2020, Blacks Brewery & Distillery marked a significant milestone by transitioning to in-house whiskey production. Now, the entire process, from milling to distilling, takes place at their Kinsale facility. While waiting for their whiskey to mature, they continue to source aged spirits and release new whiskeys with the distinctive Blacks finish.
We are incredibly fortunate to share in their distilling passion and eagerly joined their journey alongside fellow whiskey aficionados through the Blacks Whiskey Founders Club.
The latest addition to the Pieces of 8 Cask Series is a truly unique whiskey that is simply out of this world!
RocketShip Single Malt IPA is a unique whiskey produced by Blacks Brewery & Distillery in Kinsale, Ireland. This whiskey is aged in Rocketship IPA seasoned casks, giving it a distinctive zesty kick of Galaxy hops. The whiskey is non-chill filtered and has an alcohol content of 43%.

Op het whisky & Rum aan Zee Festival in IJmuiden heb ik deze bijzondere whisky mogen ontdekken, in de neus is hij vrij citrus achtig. De smaak: gedroogde perzik, ,gekarameliseerde suiker, roze peper,citrus, gebakken ananas met oaky afdronk. Fantastische dram die in mijn top 3 staat. Gelijk een flesje gehaald bij de slijterij in IJmuiden. Groet Bas

Op het ‘Whisky & Rum aan Zee Festival’ heb ik kennis mogen maken met deze prachtige whisky. Een whisky- kenner genaamd Larse nam me enthousiast mee in het verhaal achter deze whisky. Vanaf de eerste slok een streling voor de mond met een prettige afdronk.
