The release honors the ancient Celtic festival of Lúnasa, signifying the start of the harvest season. Lúnasa pays tribute to the mother of Lugh, a deity in Irish mythology, believed to have perished from exhaustion after readying the fields of Ireland for agriculture.
This is the fourth installment in the Celtic Wheel of the Year series, a collection of limited-edition whiskeys distilled, aged, and bottled at the Dingle Distillery. It is matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in mature Widow Jane bourbon casks, marking Dingle’s fourth release featuring a cask finish.
