In September 2022, the Bruges Whisky Company (BWC) unveiled its Inaugural Release at various events across the Benelux. This special edition whisky is aged for 38 months and matured in a unique combination of casks previously used for Maple Syrup, Red Wine, Cognac, and Moscatel. Bottled at an impressive ABV of 61.7%, this whisky is a true testament to the craftsmanship of BWC.
The Bruges Whisky Company, founded in 2019 by father and son duo Peter and Thibaut De Meyer, is dedicated to producing high-quality Belgian whisky. The distillery focuses on small to medium-sized first-fill bourbon casks and finishes the whisky in first-fill small casks for optimal flavor. The Ryggia range, including this Inaugural Release, is known for its rich character and distinctive taste.
